This is the program that changed our lives and our relationship with food!
We track our macronutrients so that we can perform at our absolute peak. We pride ourselves on helping incorporate the foods you love into your lifestyle and create an individualized macro plan to achieve your goals. Most people on this plan end up eating MORE FOOD while losing weight!
The Furnace coaches will teach you how to make long-term changes in your dietary habits, which will change your body toward long-term goals. We will teach you how to make short-term changes into long-term sustainable changes.

"Macro" is short for macronutrient. Macronutrients are the three categories of nutrients that you eat to provide you with most of your energy. Macros are broken into protein, carbohydrates and fats. When counting macros, you are counting the grams of proteins, carbs and fat that you are consuming. (Easier than it sounds, Macros are tracked via myfitnesspal and I will help guide you every step of the way!)
The program is done in 5 phases.
You will log and track your food in the MyFitnessPal app. It is crucial to log your food and make a habit out of it because it will help hold you accountable and keep you on track with reaching your daily goals.
We do not offer meal plans. Our goal for you is to learn what foods work for your body and still eat the foods you love!
Most people have a difficult time losing weight because their metabolisms are running too slow from continued restrictions and crazy fad diets. We must address this issue before going into any kind of caloric deficit. Once you log your food for a week, we will customize macros for you and your body.
The Reverse! Each week we will slowly increase your food intake. The goal is to repair your metabolism and get it to run at peak performance. Increasing your calories slowly and deliberately will help your metabolism to adjust to the added calories without gaining weight. It's actually very common for people to see weight loss in this phase, but that is not always the case.
The takeaway in this Phase is to remember THIS WILL BE TEMPORARY! In this Phase, your calories will be reduced by 300 to 400 calories each week. So you will be in a cut between 3 to 5 weeks. The cut phase is typically short because we don’t want metabolic adaptation to take place.
After you reach the bottom of your cut, you will once again go back into a reverse. We will increase your calories weekly and take them back up to where your metabolism is burning at its absolute peak.
After we get you back to your maintenance calories, we will have a meeting and discuss if your goals have changed. For example, would you want to go into another cut? Maybe enter a building phase to gain muscle? Are you happy with where you are? We can even plan your program Exit!
